STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) Services

Florida Department of Health - St. Johns County

The Florida Department of Health in St. Johns County (DOH–St. Johns) provides testing and/or treatment services to persons infected with, or suspected of being infected with, a Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), to reduce the incidence of STD infections and prevent the development of disease-related complications through early identification and treatment.  STD prevention and control services are provided in cooperation with physicians, laboratories, hospitals, other health care providers and insurance plans. 

Services Available

We offer a variety of services, in strict confidence, including:

  • Screening (for example, testing for STDs)
  • Counseling
  • Treatment
  • Partner counseling and referrals
  • Linkages to other services (such as HIV/AIDS patient care, and prenatal and family planning)

Who is Eligible?

Our STD Clinic serves both female and male clients of all ages, in strict confidence.

What is the Fee?

The services provided by our STD Clinic are on a sliding fee scale, based on income.  We accept Medicaid.

What documentation should I bring with me? 

For eligibility bring the following documentation with you to DOH-St. Johns.

  • A valid photo Identification (such as a Driver’s License)
  • Proof of income for the past 30 day period
