The Florida Department of Health in St. Johns County (DOH-St. Johns) has issued a health alert for the presence of harmful blue-green algae toxins in the St. Johns River Bridge. The alert is in response to a water sample taken on September 23, 2025. The public should exercise caution in and around St. Johns River – Shands Bridge.
