St. Johns County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)

The St. Johns County MRC is part of the Florida Department of Health in St Johns County (DOH-St Johns) and the Florida MRC Network. St Johns County MRC provides a mechanism for civic-minded individuals to volunteer, train and prepare for a disaster or public health emergency response. This group of volunteer health-care professionals and support personnel provides the resources to assist local emergency responders, mass prophylaxis/vaccination clinics, special needs shelters, and other public health outreach efforts.

Who Can Volunteer?

Health professionals:  St Johns County MRC needs practicing or retired health care professionals that include but not limited to: physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy techs, respiratory therapists, social workers, mental health counselors, health educators, epidemiologists, paramedics/EMTs and veterinarians.

Non-health professionals:  St Johns County MRC needs non-health professional volunteers for key support roles such as, greeters, educators, security, registration, interpreters, pet care and chaplains.
